We’ve followed Sharath Chandra’s work for sometime now and we are always pleased when we see his name as the camera operator on a feature film, short, documentary and in this case, a web series. This is no average, run of the mill web series either. It was funded by over 160 supporters on Kickstarter, who raised enough money to begin shooting We Are Fathers and upload it to the web for our entertainment. And we are really glad they did because it is one of the best web series out there right now.
Now, back to Sharath for a moment. We saw his meticulous work in the feature-length motion pictures Shake Off The World, Regen, Borderland and tons of other stuff including a long, very long litany of his own short films, which he wrote, produced and directed. We are assuming that he must have done the camera work on those great shorts simply because he is an expert camera operator, but we just don’t know.
His body of work is impressive and he seems to have enough energy to never stop working. His 2016 schedule was full early on and we suspect that 2017 will be no different. That’s what happens when you’re good at something and especially if people can constantly see your work whenever they want to. Sharath is a lucky guy, although his skills are what got him to where he is today in the film industry. We just think he should slow down a bit and maybe take a vacation.
